In a failed attempt to get some linksys ip phones working I believe I broke the inward bound numbers. The SIP provider sees that the call gets here and then it just drops. It was all working two days ago - I think I hosed up the sip.conf file as I didn't change anything in Vici. I need help to quickly get our inbound customer service number working.
Willing to pay for quick results.

http://catalog.poundteam.com/product_in ... cts_id=678$25 normal pricing, $50 Emergency pricing ($100 "holy crap i need it right now" pricing)
Also: Never edit the sip.conf file. Any changes for a phone (VOIP phone or Soft phone) should be made in admin->Phones and those changes are stored in sip-vicidial.conf. Edits to sip-vicidial.conf for testing will be overwritten by Vicidial at the next change (thus testing is safe since that file is generated by Vicidial).
There is also a "spare copy" of your sip.conf file in /usr/src/astguiclient/trunk/docs/conf_examples/ on most servers. You may "diff" against that file to see and revert your changes. (diff /usr/src/astguiclient/trunk/docs/conf_examples/sip.conf.sample-X.X /etc/asterisk/sip.conf) X.X will be your Asterisk version since that file is version-based.

I tried to undo my changes and now I've rebooted the server but still no luck. I'm getting a fast busy on all DIDs. Our SIP provider is telling me that the call gets rejected with a 404 error at the server level. I should also mention that I made changes to extensions.conf and tried undoing that.
I think the $50 option sounds like the next best move. I have a laundry list of other things that we need to have done over time (like a list of all sales across all campaigns and lists).
All this started with me trying to get some linksys hard phones working.. so that needs to happen too.
Let me know how you would like to proceed.

And remember moving forward: Never edit extensions.conf or sip.conf directly. There are various places in the Vicidal GUI designed to allow you to add values to these indirectly (in the "-vicidial.conf" included files) so you can Easily undo whatever you did. Plus: During an upgrade these files are overwritten, so any changes would need to be made all over again.

An old dog CAN learn new tricks. I will never again edit the config files directly. Thanks for the assistance and resolution; and the folks at
http://www.PoundTeam.com have my highest recommendation.
