incomplete recordings

Vicidial VERSION: 2.9-441a
Asterisk 1.8.23.0-1

Currently I using GSM format in campaign settings to record the calls. 10 % of the calls are incomplete and i need to run the mix script once again to get the complete recording.

Please advise.

Test with MP3 and see if the problem happens with that as well. Any errors in the perl logs? Any other shared details between these calls aside from being incomplete?

Server load when these calls occurred and when the mix script runs? Note that this is not something stored in a log, you'll have to create one and store the value in a log somewhere so you can look back at it and find some in the future. Also check to see if your system is low on memory during these times.

To be clear: I've been doing this for 10 years. Never bumped into this problem. But we don't have many clients who use GSM. Which brings up another interesting point: WHY GSM?

GSM will take less space to store the recordings. I am using the same format from last 4 years in 2 other servers without any issue.

Server Load is normal and I dont see any deviation on that part.

However let me check MP3 format for today and update you the status.

MP3 uses less space than GSM and is compatible with more devices and computers "out of the box", by far, than GSM.
