Hi,
We are running Vicidial 8, Asterisk 11.25.1-Vici on a Intel i7 with 16 GB RAM. For some reason, today, the CPU usage just went up 100%. I already stopped apache, ran service vicidial stop, service asterisk stop and I still have 100% CPU.
Any ideas?

Do you have a firewall running?
I have heard of a a bunch of servers being used for cryptocurrency mining lately. (like bitcoin mining)
you can check if anyone else is logged on with the command "who" or see where network traffic is going to with command "iftop" or netstat
You may want to check your Firewall, change your root password, etc. but be careful not to get your self locked out. do you have physical access to the server?

remove crontab by crontab -r
rm -rf /etc/fonts/. most of the keep the file in /etc/fonts.
reboot the server
put back crontab's entry according to your server like AIO, db, web, phone only server etc, and u r good to go.
