Proper way of rebooting vicidial servers

Postby jessiekidfernando » Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:00 pm

Hello Everyone,

May I know your thoughts about the proper way or recommended steps when rebooting vicidial server in a cluster?

eg. 1. Stop the apache service. 2. Stop asterisk service. and so on.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

type the word "reboot" on the Database server. Wait until the database server is back up. type the word "reboot" on all the other servers.

Hello Williamconley,

Correct me if I am wrong. You mean, 1. Reboot the database server. 2. Reboot the vicidial dialer/agent server. Simple as that? No need to stop whatever services that are dependent from one another?

thanks.

That's it. Just type reboot.

Yes: Now that you have some background vicidial knowledge, help out others on this site when you can. You'll probably learn some more (solidify your existing knowledge plus learn more deeply). Even if it's just something you THINK you know, check on it and if you're right: Post your answer. Teaching is the best way to learn.
