OUTBOUND CAMPAIG

Postby jps000 » Wed Apr 03, 2019 3:03 pm

Hi Everyone,

Just want to ask how to point a carrier on a outbound campaign? or how does the outbound campaign works when calling?

Thanks!

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method (7.X.X?) and vicidial version with build (VERSION: 2.X-XXXx ... BUILD: #####-####).

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "manual/from scratch" you must post your operating system with version (and the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system) plus a link to the installation instructions you used. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) BEST Advice: Download the Free version of the Vicidial Manager's Manual. It's available FREE on eflo.net in their store (not as easy to find as the paid version, but it IS there! lol). Once you've downloaded it: Start at page one. Do NOT skip any pages. Do every exercise on every page until you have a fully functional system. If you find that you don't want one of the exercises so you're going to skip it, slap yourself, go back and do that section. IF you find that you hit a snag, bring us the version/page/line of the manual where you hit the snag. Post what you expected to happen ... and what really happened that has you perplexed. You can also post any relevant configuration settings (not entire pages or .conf files! just the ones relevant to your problem) and possibly the asterisk CLI output from a single call attempt. Post the entire call, of course, beginning to end, but not 3000 lines of unrelated code (try not to have any other calls live at the same time).

4) For a more direct answer to your question, however: "Dial Prefix". There are three of these for each campaign. One for autodial, one for manual dial, and one for 3-way calls. Each can be set to a different number to choose a different carrier (or the same, if you want all types of calls to use the same carrier.

Dial prefix works like this: Your dialplan entry (for the carrier) will have an extension for each carrier. Something like this "_91NXXNXXXXXX". this will appear on all lines fo the dialplan entry for that carrier. The "9" would be the "Dial Prefix" in this case. The only purpose of the "9" is to bring the call to this carrier. Then 9 is then discarded and the rest of the number would be sent to the carrier.

Happy Hunting! 8-)
