Decreasing Database performance

Asterisk version: 13.21.1-vici

Hi -- hoping for some input or clarification.

We've been experiencing a gradual system slowdown with our combined db/web server -- and I'm trying to pin down the cause. Issue is neither critical nor consistent, but I'd like to nip in the bud so to speak.

Things like agent_status in the api normally complete in 1-2ms, but during a slowdown can be 500-5000ms. Similar delays are seen in dial/hangup requests from agent users. No delays are experienced elsewhere as far as I can tell. (Query times to other servers remain 1-4ms, network traffic is unchanged, # of users/calls is consistent).

I've seen in threads such as this: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28682

That longtime buildup of logs can cause similar issue, and since the server has been operating for a couple years now I thought it was possible, but I'm unclear how to view the current log size, or what changes would need to be made to automatically remove. (If this is still something that occurs since 2013).

Try check the crontab..Some disabled entry by default might help your setup.
