Agent Login produces garbage (var MTvar)

Postby keithm » Tue Oct 09, 2007 2:53 pm

Vicidial is up and configured following the SCRATCH_INSTALL and Manager Manual instructions. However, when I attempt to login through the agent login screen, the call completes to my agent phone and it enters conference, but I get the following garbage on the agent login screen (instead of the pretty green calendar screen):

Any suggestions as to what i should look at for troubleshooting?

Code: Select all
var MTvar; var NOW_TIME = '2007-10-09 12:33:05'; var SQLdate = '2007-10-09 12:33:05'; var StarTtimE = '1191958385'; var UnixTime = '1191958385'; var UnixTimeMS = 0; var t = new Date(); var c = new Date(); LCAe = new Array('','','','','',''); LCAc = new Array('','','','','',''); LCAt = new Array('','','','','',''); LMAe = new Array('','','','','',''); var CalL_XC_a_Dtmf = ''; var CalL_XC_a_NuMber = ''; var CalL_XC_b_Dtmf = ''; var CalL_XC_b_NuMber = ''; var VU_hotkeys_active = '0'; var VU_agent_choose_ingroups = '1'; var VU_agent_choose_ingroups_DV = ''; var CallBackDatETimE = ''; var CallBackrecipient = ''; var CallBackCommenTs = ''; var scheduled_callbacks = ''; var dispo_check_all_pause = '0'; var agent_pause_codes_active = 'N'; VARpause_codes = new Array(); VARpause_code_names = new Array(); var VD_pause_codes_ct = ''; VARstatuses = new

It goes on for quite a bit but I am unable to post more due to antispam restrictions in place on these forums...

Not sure why that would be happening, I have run all of those versions(except for PHP 4.3.11) with no issues. Do you see anything in the Firefox errors console?

Interesting. I deleted the agc, astguiclient, and vicidial directories from /var/www/html and re-ran perl install.pl from the vicidial installation directory.

Now I get a dial to the agent phone followed by:

O\_QUTZaltQjON]mnI|O>imcdYbJ=SXJnOUyhKvxXCKLƾTNNCJ6<}FF

on the screen.

a refresh produces the green screen with the calendars on it, but nothing above them.

I'm beginning to think that there may be a problem with the sql db. I'll have a go at deleting / recreating the vici tables and data to see if that helps.

Ok. Nuked the vici tables and recreated, re-entered agents, campaigns, inbound groups, user groups, and phones and the problem repeats.

Next suspect is the NIC as it is an ATL1 and I had to download and compile a rather suspect driver for it. I've got another on order and will try that one next.

The funniest thing is that the vici admin works fine, behaves fine, and has zero issues, it's just the astguiclient that is having a tizzy.

That's very strange, never seen anything like that before.

the admin interface doesn't use AJAX at all but the agent interface uses it heavily which might be some of the problem.

Well, sorry to bug you with this whole thing.

Problem Solved.

It was the NIC. Replaced with a pure Tulip NIC and everything worked like a champ.

Thank you for the assistance. Knowing this was not a code / os / software version issue at least helped me nail down the source of the problem.

NIC problems can do very strange things, what kind of NIC was causing the problem? Could it be a Realtek :)

No it was an ATL1 (Attansic - now Atheros) L1 embedded in the motherboard.
