Hi Matt,
I use remote agent just for on hook agent.
The remote agent still log on agent page as normal.
I saw the call report, recording file for this agent, but I hear nothing in this recording file.
How could I have a on hook agent which can be hear,barge and recording as normal off hook agent?

The "Remote Agents" feature of ViciDial does not allow for recording of conversations.
We currently do not have a solution for an on-hook agent using the standard vicidial.php agent interface.

But I am not getting any recording file of remote agents.

This was a very old post you replied to, and now remote agents can be recorded if you have the campaign/in-group/user settings set to record. They are still not available fore remote monitoring though.

You need to upgrade, that feature is not available on the version of vicidial you are using.

Hi Matt, i know this is an old thread but is it also possible record an outbound call when you use a remote vicidial agent?
I tested with a softphone that has the external extension as specified under the remote agent setting and while the agent can be seen active in the realtime report i dialed a number from my softphone but it doesn't show up in the stats so i guess the recording is only possible on inbound and not on outbound, is that correct?

What are you asking? Are you asking if an outbound campaign call can be recorded? Of course it can, there are settings on the campaign. But when a remote agent makes a call directly on their phone, they are not making a "campaign" call, they are just a phone making a call unrelated to a campaign. There's a special dialplan to record manually dialed calls from phones in admin-> phones. Then you'd view the recordings by going to admin->phones and looking at the phone in question and there will be a list of recordings ... after you set up to record outbound calls on phones.

Hey there Bill
This is what i'm looking for:
There's a special dialplan to record manually dialed calls from phones in admin-> phones.
How do i enable this? I did find the link at the bottom of the phone modify page to go to the phone recordings but i'm not sure yet how to enable that.

is it possible to do a recording with remote agents that are set to dial and external DID#.?
sample my remote 1000 would dial 12127775678 and this remote agent receives inbound calls from an ingroup which I set the campaign and ingroup ALL CALLS recording
but when I check now I don't see any recording location or recording link i tried to search and can't find any recording at all any idea.?

Not sure it's related, you may want to post a log entry of an example/test call (not 3000 lines of unrelated code, no other traffic on the system, just one test call from start of agent logging in to finish of the quick call), but ...
