Configure sip trunk

Postby Tom75 » Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:16 am

Hi all, I am trying to configure a carrier trunk. I got a free SIP account from iptel.org.
Here is my info from there:

username: xxxx@iptel.org
password:xxxx
sip address: sip:xxxx@iptel.org
registrar address: sip.iptel.org

And when I configure my carrier trunk, I use these:

Registration String:
sip:xxxx@iptel.org:xxxx@iptel.org:5060

Account Entry
[iptel]
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
type=friend
username=xxxx@iptel.org
secret=xxxx
host=sip:xxxx@iptel.org
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=trunkinbound
nat=force_rport

Protocol:
SIP

Globals String:

Dialplan Entry:
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(sip:xxxx@iptel.org:xxxx@iptel.org:5060/${EXTEN:2},,tTor)
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,3,Hangup

Server IP:
192.168.147.128

But when I use "sip show peers" on the asterisl cli, I got this:
Name/username|Host|Dyn|Forceport|Comedia|ACL|Port|Status|Description
iptel/xxxx@iptel.org|212.79.111.155 ||Yes|No||5060|unreachable|

Can anyone help please?

ok two questions, one does your free sip trunk come with channels? just because you get a free trunk doesnt mean u get channels(lines) with it. normally you have to pay for channels

two: does your eyebeam register to your server?

I think that it does not come with channels because it's free.
My eyebeam is properly registered on my server.

You have to purchase one, your SIP provider most likely sells them. They are also called DID's
