adding multiple asterisk box

Postby garfunct » Mon Oct 15, 2007 6:08 pm

I seem to be making this hardwork..

I have 1 full vici, asterisk box up and running and want to add another asterisk box.

Running debian vici 2.095

vicidial install is pointing to mysql on original box
and seems to run fine
apache and vici are also on both boxes

i have a phone on the new box that is able to dial manually (not thru vici)

when i log in i get the dreaded

"no one is in your session"

and the phone dont ring....

hate to have to start over

I get no activity from cli on new box

both servers are configured in vici

manager.conf is same on both machines (not sure if this is correct but have added permit ip line and makes no diff)

any help greatly appreciated.

For multiple vicidial servers you should install Asterisk/VICIDIAL and all helper apps on each one and then go through the instructions in the LOAD_BALANCE.txt doc.

Telnet port settings

Postby TroyD » Mon Nov 05, 2007 9:21 pm

I had similar issue, however it was solved by going into the admin page under servers and verify that the alternate vicidial server that is using remote asterisk/vici server has the telnet server/port pointed to it. hope this makes sence, i have 3 server setup (1-sql, 1-apache, 1 vici/asterisk) had to point the telnet/port from apache server to point to vici server on port 5038 to be sure that when i logged in, it would send the commands to call my extension to the vicidial server that has the trunks configured..
