Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well.

I've been informed by the project lead over at Asterisk that he will be hosting a talk on the evolution of Asterisk from it's inception with Mark Spencer back in 1999 through to the present day. If you're interested in telephony, ViCiDial, Asterisk or just FOSS history in general...feel free to come along and have a great time nerding out with us :D

Ah, brings back memories :)

Lots of interesting stories from back in the day, like when Mark Spenser said that I was an "enemy of Asterisk" because I posted about my performance testing comparing Sangoma T1 cards and Digium T1 cards. It all ended up OK though, Mark sat next to me at the next AstriDevCon, and Digium ended up merging with Sangoma several years later, so alls well that ends well :)

I did a presentation on the history of VICIdial back in 2017, there's even a video of it,
"What is the VICIdial Open Source Contact Center Suite and Where is it Going?"
