crontab settings for cluster

I've installed a lot of vicidial clusters since 2006. This has bugging me for some looooong. I was looking at vicibox at I need to know the answer for this.

so should all the members of the cluster have this?

Dedicated webservers don't need it, and possibly dedicated database servers don't need it(although we do have clients that run some of the keepalives on the DB server), all dialers should have that set.

As for whether it really needs to be "* * * * *", if you have set hours on set days that your system runs, and the Timeclock End Of Day is set during the times when the keepalive script will run, you can restrict what times of day it runs if you want.
