vicibox 11 installation error

Hello All

We are trying to install the vicibox 11 on below server spec

Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4208 CPU @ 2.10GHz 8c

Solid State Disk 0:1:0 Ready 0 446.63 GB SATA SSD
Solid State Disk 0:1:1 Ready 1 446.63 GB SATA SSD

RAM 64 GB

Using VICIbox Std Installation ViciBox_v11.x86_64-11.0.1.iso it get boot on start installation but it is showing us error - no device(s) for installation found

Can I know what i am doing wrong.

I note that you have two HDs and am guessing that your problem is that you have a RAID controller but have not set up your RAID.

FYI: RAID controllers are a hardware concern. Once you configure the RAID, the RAID controller will present a "logical" HD to the boot system so an OS can be installed.

On a desktop system (or pretty much any system without RAID) the HD is automatically presented to the boot system without any interference. But for RAID, the RAID controller manages the HDs and requires pre-configuration before OS installation. You'll likely see some sort of RAID option during boot (with a keyboard sequence offered to manage it) before the "No OS found" error.

RAID configuration methods and options depend on the manufacturer of RAID card and usually is associated with the hardware manufacturer (not the CPU). For instance Dell vs HP have different "normal" RAID controllers. The RAID controller hardware model should be visible during boot.

Nothing in an ISO installer will configure your RAID: For RAID you must use the RAID configuration tools of your hardware RAID board if one is present. Note that detection of a hard drive is not possible if the RAID card does not present one to the OS.

Yes but in a raid situation the MD iso is the one to use

Thanks all I configured the RAID via BIOS tool and used the std iso and it worked.
