Note that those stats aren't real. The stats in Vicidial require configuration. The values it's choosing have not proven useful so far for us. We check load directly with the OS.
How about uptime (for simple cpu usage) combined with core count and htop to monitor memory.
In the end, of course, it's not about a screen display of system usage, but about capacity. How many calls (and other processes) can be "in play" before degradation begins.
It has been a LOOOONG time since we played with various OSs to get Best Power for Robodialing, but when we did: Gentoo won the battle. Gentoo compiles ... everything. So we ONLY put 100% necessary packages on the system, and emerged with systems capable of 600 lines per server for serious robodialing.
Since then, however, clients have decided (for us) that having Stock systems easily rebuilt and maintained by virtually any Vicidial Professional across the globe is preferable. The fact that even the clients can install the .ISO themselves makes them happy (several will perform the OS install from the Vicibox.com .iso installer, and then have us complete the rest of the installation). From there they all know that this system is 100% stock. No special knowledge required.
That's what used to sell GoAutoDial before Vicibox came on the scene. Since that time ... Vicibox all the way.
Is there any reason for Alma aside from the system resource allocation concept? Some corporation somewhere insists on this OS or something similar?
