At&t T1 router question

Postby computergroove » Mon Jan 07, 2008 12:47 am

I am putting together a 12 agent call center and I need some advice.

I have contacted AT&T about a T1 line in my area. Here's the reply I received in my email:

"The usage requirements for the discounted T-1 price would call for a minimum of 90.00 in long distance, and also a minimum of 5 lines. (this would give a T-1 price of 351.40 for 36 months.

The only alternative I can give you would be $470.00 per month for 24 months (Managed Service including the router), or $434 per month, if you provide the router. (Un-managed)

Let me know if this is ok for you..
Thanks"

Can I interface the router that AT&T is providing to deliver reasonably good voice reception without echo with a SIP VOIP service? I found a card on eBay with echo cancellation built in. What advice can you give me? On another note I want to use SIP with the T1 line but I am not sure if I should use hard or soft phones. What are the benefits of each?

Thanks
