i have running vicidialnow but have one problem

hi,

i have running vicidial but i forgot to do the following which i read from known issues.

works only w/ ide dvd/cdrom drives
the workaround for this is to manually untar vicidial.tar.gz from the cd and run the install script after first boot.

#mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
#cd /root
#tar zxvf /mnt/cdrom/vicidial.tar.gz
#cd Vicidial
#sh install_vici.sh

reboot your system after installation has been completed.

*** I have a problem that will pop dial timed out contact your system administrator***

***missing the steps mentioned above is it the cause of my problem???

is it ok if i will run the install script even if it is not my first boot anymore?

does it can affect my existing asterisk configuration? pls help with this one.

It's ok to ran the said procedure even though it's no longer your first boot. However, it will overwrite your asterisk config files. I recommend backing them up somewhere.
