i am using fedora-6, vicidial-2.0.4, asterisk-1.4.18, app_conference-2.0.
wen i m placing 1 agent online through remote_agent page of astguiclient, the asterisk is showing me

CLI> core show channels
4 active channels
3 active calls
===========================
and the question is wy no of active calls is 3 ?? I think it shud be 2

could you actually list the channels that it shows so that I can explain what each one is doing there?

ya surely...the "core show channels" commands output is as under

previously it was giving me 3 active calls.....but as u can see above now its giving me the 4 active calls.
Is it normal behaviour or something going wrong ????

When you place calls, Asterisk creates two Local/ channels to start the call along with the real channel, so then a single call is taking 3 Asterisk channels initially.

Post the results of "core show channels concise" in Asterisk 1.4 or "show channels concise" in Asterisk 1.2 and I will go through them in detail
