leads uploading problem...

Postby paladugu_sujith » Wed Apr 23, 2008 10:38 am

i am trying to upload the leads in csv format..
there are 10,000 leads with a file size of 666kb.

when i upload it says tht all leads r uploaded

GOOD:10000 BAD:0

but only 600 of them are getting uploaded...

i tried to make my web directory writable.. by chmod 777 /var/www/html/vicidial/ but of no use..

my php.conf says

file upload=on
upload_max_filesize=10M

i am using astguiclient version 2.03 with asterisk 1.2.24
mysql 4.1.11

try upgrading to 2.0.4, there were a couple fixes for lead importing in there from the previous version.

Try reformatting your leads to the native VICIDIAL format and try the web form again. If you still have problems, then try using the command-line lead importer.

my friend you need to read the manual or the scratch install ... then prepare a list of numbers ... put it in /usr/share/astguiclient/INLEADS i guess then use the script
/usr/share/astguiclient/VICIDIAL_IN_new_leads_file.pl name_of_file
& it should load the list to the database ... if you can't follow these simple instructions then you need to hire someone to it for you.

Instead of using coma (,) as field delimiter, try using pipe (|) and save the file as csv. Better yet, do it with Openoffice using a linux workstation.

Then you need to remove the special characters like ( ) -

i personaly never seen a correct file half uploaded.
so you hast have an error in your file.
look at the last number uploaded, search in the file for that line & see whats in the next line (you will find an error)
hint : some names come with ` or ' characters in them.
also you can try converting the file using iconv, example :
iconv -f utf-8 -t latin1 file.txt
then retry upload.

this is part of the leads not loading:
Source,Code,List,CONTACT_NAME,COMPANY_NAME,PRIMARY_ADDRESS,PRIMARY_CITY,PRIMARY_STATE,PRIMARY_ZIP_CODE,PHONE
