How to Change the Default Password in admin.ph

Hello guys,

This is with reference on the above mentioned subject. I'm just new in vicidial system,I'm using vicidialnow RC2. I would like to know how to change the default password (vicidialnow) in admin.ph.

Additionally, I would like to know how to change the default ip (192.168.1.2). From OS side, I had changed it already with my desired ip add, as well as in extension.conf i.e.(*192*168*000*013) Unfortunately, everytime I make an inbound call and run the asterisk -rvvv. , it still uses the default ip that caused me error of invalid entension. However, using default ip, no prob at all.

In relation, I did the ff:
1. Run this command "update_server_ip" after i changed the default ip.
2. Run extension reload and even "reload" at cli.
3. I had verified that my static ip was already changed thru ifconfig command after i restarted the server.


Please advise.

Check your /etc/astguiclient.conf if the new ip address has been correctly entered there by the update_server_ip script.

Just login to the admin page of Vicidial.

Admin -> Users

Find the "Admin" username and click the "MODIFY" link. Change the password there.

i have forget my admin password.

How can we reset is to default or change it in the php database?

You can login to mysql and check the password or modify it there.
