Hi, continuing a same problem with this guy, .. i did a screen -r and only asterisk, astvdadapt, and astfastlog were working.

Im using 2.0.5 w/ asterisk 1.2.24

I noticed that i tried to do a manual loading of the ASTupdate.pl ... and it mentioned this error

unknown remote host: at ./AST_update.pl line 408

i tried to do a reinstall of vicidial, .. but it's still the same

any help appreciated so much

thanks

If you have solved an error that you have asked for help on I think it is only curtious to post the resolution for others searching for this topic ...

Ordinarily when you see that, the error was so simple they are embarrassed and don't want to admit it (rough equivalent of a comic whacking his head with the mic and saying oops).

Post your specs and issue and maybe it will turn out to be simple, too (or maybe not, but it could help the next guy as much as binbash posting his resolution).

Install Vicibox (Vicibox.com) or VicidialNOW or just try the Vicibox DEMO. Fedora is not supported (never seems to work right).

You can look at your vicidial logs (/var/log/astguiclient). You can also delete all of them (everything in the folder), duplicate your problem, and then look at the logs when THAT was the only thing happening (reduces the clutter to sift through).

You can also do the same thing on the DEMO disk with no installation and see where the differences are ... but considering the time involved to make Fedora work, it's generally easier to just download and install Vicibox. Honestly.
