Any Vicidialnow with inbuilt SATA driver ?

When I select SATA in BIOS , my installation get HUNG at :

1) ide-cd : cmd 0*28 timeout
2) hda : DMA timeout
3) hda : statuis timeout : status= 0xd0
4) ide : failed opcode was : unknown
5) hda : drive not ready timeout
6) hda : ATAPI reset complete

When I select AHCI in BIOS , my installation get HUNG at :

1) ata6 : SATA Link Up 3.0 gbps
2) ata6 : ata-7 : st32503244 , 3.aaa,MAX udma/133
3) ATA6 : configured for UDMA/133
4) Vendor : ATA Type ; Direct Access
5) ANSI SCSI Revision : 05
6) SCSI device sda : 32503244 512 byte hdwr sector ( 250059 MB)
7) write protect is off
mode sense : 00 3a 00
8) SCSI : device sda dma cache : write back
9) sda : sd1 sd2 sd3
Attached SCSI disk drive
10) hda : DMA timeout
11) hda : statuis timeout : status= 0xd0
12) ide : failed opcode was : unknown
13) hda : drive not ready timeout
14) hda : ATAPI reset complete

What to do ?

My HDD is a 250 GB and Sata.

Hi,

Here's wht I can recollect !!

1. install VICIDIAL on other board which detects disks as SATA.
2. update the kernel to a latest one (PAE kernel if u have >4gb ram).
3. put installed SATA disk on desired motherboard and add “ide[n]=noprobe” (where n = device number) (this will cause not to probe the disk as IDE)

Also try n c wht happens aftr diabling DMA

Try and see if you can install CentOS 5.2 on your server. We're updating VicidialNOW to be based on CentOS 5.2 to address installation concerns over newer motherboards and hardware. Let us know if CentOS 5.2 installs on your hardware.

I tried using IDE drive also... but it diodnt work also..

Somehow, my MOBO BIOS is not supporting centos...
