Dial Plan Additions

We are using Slackware 10.2 and are in Phase 6. In Step 7 it asks to create GSM formatted audio file named "park.gsm" that is 30 minutes long
; and put it in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds


We already have park.gsm file but it is in Binary format. Do we need to modify it and add those extensions? If yes, how? It mentions the same thing about conf.gsm.

GSM files are SUPPOSED to be in binary format. This is not a problem.

I'm not really sure what you are asking. You do not open the gsm file and edit it, you need to move it to your sounds directory and then edit your extensions.conf file to make sure the dialplan entries are in to access it properly.

Sorry...wasn't fully clear earlier. The "park.gsm" is already in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds. We did not have to put it there. Similarly, "conf.gsm" is already in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds.

Do we just edit our extensions.conf file or do we do anything else also? Below is what was written in Scratch Install...just wanted to make sure we doing it correctly. Thanks

just edit the extensions.conf. That should be it.
