Getting Calls even whn agent is on conference

Postby 28300 » Wed Nov 19, 2008 11:07 am

Hi,

Sometimes an agent who is already on conference starts receiving another calls in between and all parties can hear the audio.
The average load on server is .20 - .40 at any point of time. The zttest averages 99.98%. There are no IRQ misses, no IRQ sharing etc. The TOP command shows 12%-15%CPU usage and about 40%-50% RAM usage. The session ID's are also unique.

Can this be due to low bandwidth?? or low RAM??
The bandwidth is saturated and my ISP confirmed that (we are still awaiting the 2mbps link). I have gained a lot of experience from this forum but still unable to solve this problem :)

The specs at my center are :-

vicidial rc1.1 (single server)
core2duo 2.2 with 1gb ddrII, 250gb sata hard disk, x100p (clone)
g729 (free codec)
total number of agents : 10
bandwidth : 512kbps
dial method : ration 2:2
agent pc : 512 ddrII, celeron 1.8 CPU, 80gb SATA

Good night 28300, did you solved this problem? How did you solve it? I'm having a similar problem and need your help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes, I was able to sort it out.

First, chk ur load. In my case the load was too high and as MATT said (rightly) that this leads to random & peculiar problems.

Second, I changed my hardware (upgraded) as the high load was due to the low resources.

Lastly, avoid high settings when using autodialing.

Except for these reasons, I simply failed to find a reason for this.

Hello 28300 (tc?). I'll review the server load.

Thank you very much.
