Inbound Campaign - agents transfer on the same group

Postby jollyr » Fri Dec 26, 2008 1:55 pm

I have encounter a little problem on my inbound campaign that if the called party want to talk to a prepared agents i cannot transfer since this agents are on the same group. This is sort of a basic pbx functions for incoming calls but i cannot figured it out when i am using the vicidial system. I tried to transfer on the default inbound channels but all agents that are ready to received can get the calls randomly since they are available to. Can anyone has a solution... thanks in advanced.

So you want to be able to transfer to only one specific agent?

Sounds like he wants to transfer to a closer, but the closer is actually another agent on the same campaign. Can't transfer to his phone because he's logged in to vicidial and his phone is busy, so he wants to be able to transfer to him within vicidial.

just a guess. am i close?

if you don't want to have that agent on a separate "closer" campaign (because I presume you want to have this agent capable of making sales as a normal agent, most of the time ...)

you could create an Inbound Line for each of these "closers" and allow them to log in to the inbound specially designed for them (each to his own, not to the others) while logged in to the regular campaign and attempt to transfer/conference with that inbound. it would be confusing, and be a lot more work for the cpu than it should but it may work out easily for the agents once set up.

remember that inbound lines do not really need to be from outside calls, they CAN be internal and they do not need to be 10 digit phone numbers.

this would also allow vicidial to show them "busy" until they get out of that call.
