i have a tech who plays with partitions a lot. he says the ubuntu Live disk has "gparted" which is good at modifying partition sizes.
so you download the ubuntu live disk .iso, burn it, boot from it and then find the proper method to use gparted. (of course, first you do a backup ...).
generally costs less money to go down to compUSA and buy another drive, though.
