For inbound campaigns is there a feature that allows a rep to search for (and alter) a record by a given field (firstname/lastname) if the CIDLOOK does not locate it? Aside from building something in a webform.
Thanks in advance!

nope.
We are looking for sponsorship of development of a feature like this, but be warned it will not be cheap due to the complexity of the vicidial.php agent interface.

Is this for the purpose of finding clients who call from alternate telephones?
I have a client who uses "Goldmine" by FrontRange. For inbound emails it has an auto-search function that will allow the assignment of an email to any user record (and will assign the email address to the user also) in case an inbound email comes from an address it's never seen before.
Something like that, which would assign an inbound caller id to a "found" record automatically could be useful. Adding the new callerid to alt-phone or addr3 ...
Or is this not where you are going?

For something like this it would be easier to use something like Vtiger which is better suited to searching like this. VICIDIAL integrates with Vtiger now by searching for all potential phone numbers from all contacts listed for a Vtiger account(for which you can have many) so this may be a better idea than to have to alter the code within VICIDIAL.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Searching for all possible phone numbers would def. help, but we were thinking a little more flexible, allowing the rep to search, and through other fields as well.
Vtiger sounds like it could minimize the need for this process though. I'm going to have to check it out.
Thanks again!
