NIC problem

I think my system is not loading eth0 after I type ifconfig eth0.
It says error fetching interface. I have downloaded my driver mr the net and am going to burn it in cd. How to load the file?

have you tried to reinstall slackware?

is your lancard builtin or pci?

try purchasing lancard that support linux like Realtek, 3COM, D-Link DFE-530TX
