Use tmpfs for recordings

Postby yasserin » Mon Sep 08, 2008 2:54 pm

Hi, I want to change the ram0 that in mount to the recordings record and use the tmpfs instead.

Tengo esto:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdd1 145G 23G 115G 17% /
/dev/hda1 99M 12M 83M 12% /boot
tmpfs 1.5G 0 1.5G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/ram0 16M 32K 16M 1% /var/spool/asterisk/monitor

so I want to comment out the /dev/ram0 and use the tmps instead, could you give me some advise to how to do that

On my dialler-which-records, /etc/fstab:

Code: Select all
root@viciast26:~# more /etc/fstab
/dev/sda2        swap             swap        defaults         0   0
/dev/sda1        /                reiserfs    defaults         1   1
#/dev/cdrom      /mnt/cdrom       auto        noauto,owner,ro  0   0
/dev/fd0         /mnt/floppy      auto        noauto,owner     0   0
devpts           /dev/pts         devpts      gid=5,mode=620   0   0
proc             /proc            proc        defaults         0   0
tmpfs            /var/spool/asterisk/monitor tmpfs

Assuming that you have the tmpfs filesystem driver installed, that should be all; I assume you already have a daemon running to copy the files off to a safe place?
