Hi to all, i want to buy the vicidial manuals so i can set up vicidialnow 1.1, but my question is does the manual include the asterisk configuration or just the web gui managment, i have used vici before so i know my way around it, but not on the asterisk side, so if the manual includes that, it would make my day, thanks in advance.

The Manager manual does not include Asterisk configuration settings. That is what the docs included with VICIDIAL include.

We are working on the manual for the 2.0.5 release and that version will have gui-based configuration of SIP and IAX phones and carriers that will automatically update the Asterisk configuration without having to do anything on the Linux Command-line.

Thank you for your reply, so, where could i start learning how to configure vicidialnow for the sip trunks etc, also, my finla plan is to connect the vicidialnow box to an elastix box, and let the elastix box do the dialing, but make vici do all the predictive stuff, is this possible, and could you point me in the right direction on how to star with this, i would really appreciate it, thanks again.

Yes, what you want to do is possible, I would recommend taking a look at the sip.conf or iax.conf sample file included with VICIDIAL as well as the sample extensions.conf file for more information on setting up SIP and IAX trunks.

Also, for more information I would recommend looking at the voip-info.org website.
