Ran into a problem today with Vicidial. For some reason the link with my sip provider, Vitelity, went down earlier today. I did not notice this for a bit but I had agents in my system 'dialing' away. As a result over 3000 new leads were marked as No Answer AutoDial (I'm guessing because it couldn't dial the numbers).
I was able to fix this by resetting the called list and also adding the No Answer AutoDial to the Dial Status of the campaign. I was wondering though if there was a way to have Vicidial test the Asterisk server periodically or have asterisk communicate with Vicidial that it lost the SIP provider link to ensure this doesn't happen again.
Any and all ideas are welcome.
FYI: VicidialNOW CE 1.1
Asterisk 1.2.27
Vicidial VERSION: 2.0.4-121 BUILD: 80424-0442
Thanks in advance for your help.

Did every call not go through?
What was the exact problem that you had?
What was Vitelity sending back to you when you tried to place calls?

The through Asterisk to my personal cell went through after i restarted Asterisk. The Vicidial software started working after I flushed the hopper, added the dial status of No Answer AutoDial and by resetting the lists involved.
The Vitelity problem involved constant messages in asterisk sip debug mode mentioned that asterisk was constantly attempting to connect but getting no authorization back from the sip provider (forgive me, I didn't save those logs) while attempting to dial numbers.
My Asterisk configuration is only setup for outbound...however it does register inbound just in case. Inbound was registering fine in the asterisk debug.
The main thing I would like to find out...Is there a way to periodically have Asterisk/Vicidial ping and test that ping response of actual outbound sip connectivity to ensure there is really a voice channel available to dial calls through (ping is figurtive in determining actual trunk availability...not $ ping vitelity)
IE: asterisk or vicidial queries the actual trunk to determine if calls are up.
if they are, dial dial dial.
if they are not, report the error via txt msg and if possible, to the agents logged into vicidial.

No VICIDIAL currently does not do this, but it sounds like a good idea for a feature.
