How to join this project? I am looking forward to work as freelance to VicidialNow. I have few experience in Call Center implementation and part of my joining will be testing and documentation. Technically I am a Telecom Engineer not a programmer and will versed in Linux OS but im on top of now, learning and studying programming with Linux platform.

I have successfully installed the latest release of Vicidialnow 1.2rc1 on two servers and have been testing the systems as auto dialers and predictive dialers. Two problem I faced right away is :
1. uploading data more than 40K+ records. Making the adjustments on php.ini fixed the problem as okly suggested in one of the thread I posted.
2. no matter what hardware configuration you have Vicidialnow does not push more than 120 channels for autodialing even if you have more than 120 channels. You have to use the formula total channel =ratio multiplied by #of channels but this formula cannot exceed 120. For instance 4(ratio) x120(channels)=480 lines will not work as this exceed 120.

What kind of lines are you using? I have done more than 200 lines at a time without any issues on a multi-server VicidialNOW system.

I am using VOIP lines with Vitelity on a single server. Also, the server is a Dual Xeon 3 GHZ, 2 GB RAM 15K RPM 36 Gig HD. I have setup the system as an auto dialer with press 1 campaign. When customer presses 1 it transfers the call to a remote pbx in another location.

Hi Amirshr,
It would be great if you or someone can provide documentation with screenshots on the installation process and basic system howto. The likes of how to create a campaign, load leads, what's the proper lead format and others. We can put it on
http://www.vicidialnow.org as a wiki or something.

Hey there gardo, I ve been working with VNOW for a while now, I would really like to help in the project anyway I can, because I really think this is Vicidial is one of the best pieces of software I ever seen (congrats to the developers by the way), am a systems engineer in south america, so if you guys are interested on a translation to any manual or tutorial I would gladly help with that also with any tutorial regarding setup of VNOW cuz right now I have over 20 agents calling with the predictive dialer and also 15 agents with an Inbound contract, so i use a lot of the features that vicidial offers.

I just finished setting up Vicidial for inbound call center. I saw the getting started guide linked from the blog has the outbound part. If anyone else is doing work on the inbound documentation, I would like to join that effort, otherwise I would like to volunteer to create that document.

I think no one has done any inbound documentation yet. It'll be great if you can create one. Whether it's SIP, IAX or PRI based, it'll help a lot of users.

Well we could definitely help with testing. We are using ViciDialNow 1.3 CE with the latest SVN trunk in production with 149 DID's and 261 call routes back to a single campaign. We do have a couple of questions (don't know if bug) I will post in the proper place.

The revised ViciDial Manual for the 2.2.0 release will have tutorials and more information on DIDs and Call Menus. Should be up next week.

Great! My staff is modifying the help menus as we go (And learn) so our dialer managers can more clearly understand. (ie. Examples etc) We will post available when ready.
