OK I guess it's time to get a full hardware list from you on your system. We have been running a system with a TE407P for the last two weeks and have not had any issues with echo.
Could you post a link to an audio recording of the problem so that I can hear it?
Could you post a copy of your zaptel.conf and zapata.conf files?
What linux distro and Asterisk version is this with?

Im kicking myself in the **** as we speak, I had tried 3 different softphones with no luck then I tried this one X-LITE (which is NOT "LITE" in any way shape or form).
But it works, I have 0 echo and its going to do the trick..

very interesting. What codecs and protocols were you using on each of those?

tried IAX and multiple codecs
ended on SIP and ulaw even though Firefly with SIP and ulaw still had echo very wierd..
