Vicidialnow

Setup to call out on SIP. Not a problem. However, when we conf a call, I noticed it grabbing a channel IAX/Voi...

I have the system set to dial IAX with a 9 prefix. Sip with a 8 prefix.

I noticed that the conf calls are dialing 9 then the number. Thus I believe that is the problem to opening a IAX channel and not a SIP channel.

As I dig in the conf files, where do we set the conf file prefix. If I find this I will post resolutiion.

This is a web-configurable option in 2.0.5. I would recommend upgrading.

Upgrade in Vicidialnow? I was told stuff would break. Is there a place in the agi code I can make changes?

Vici Dial can be upgraded in Vicidialnow?

The scripts from 2.0.5 are not backward compatible with 2.0.4

I don't know why upgrading to 2.0.5 would break your setup, we have done upgrades like this before. you just need to follow the UPGRADE document.

Of course stuff will break, and you fix it by following the UPGRADE document. Yes, vicidialnow can be upgraded. It's vicidial 2.0.4, pretty much just like any other vicidial 2.0.4. Same upgrade path as if you'd done a scratch install of that version.

I believe I am going to scrub vicidialnow and insert vicibox. I was told it is production ready. I would rather do that climb a hill others have already done for me - it is good learning though....and i have learned alot!
