The Vicidial Group is pleased to announce VICIbox Server 1.0.0-rc2. This release fixed a fundamental flaw in the installer. Ubuntu released an updated kernel and because the installer did not handle this correctly the zaptel drivers were not properly compiled which broke a number of other things. Rc2 fixed this issue by splitting the installation process into two steps with a reboot in between. Step one installs the latest updates and kernel. Step two then installs Vicidial.

Great job.
For us with rc1 in production, is there anything we should do to repair our systems? Or should we be fine?

The prooblem was that the installer started having issues after Ubuntu released a kernel update. If you installed your system before this point your system should be working properly. If you installed with RC1 after this you would not have a working system so you would not have been able to get it into production.

I was talking about a new version, with updated kernel or something like that. Ubuntu 8.04 is not compatible with my 3WARE 9750 raid controller. Only kernel 2.6.33 or newer is natively supported
Infact Vicibox Redux works flawless, but I need the hard disk install
Help me
