Adding new topics repeating yourself is not going to make it speed up. when you try to start mysqld what happens?
/etc/init.d/mysqld start

thanks for that
It says "no such file or directory". Am I supposed to do this in my database server or Vicidial. I have two Pc for Vicidia;1 for Asterisk&vicidial and the other one where mysql and web will be loaded.
I also installed mysql in vicidial server coz i think that will act as mysqlclient and the other Pc as mysql server

Find mysqld
find / -name mysqld
then run it from whatever location its at
/path/to/mysqld --user=mysql
MAKE SURE THE USER mysql EXISTS.
