2.6.24.5 will it compile Zaptel?

Quick question, been having problems with slackware 12.2

I am having someone install slackware 12.1 with kernel 2.6.24.5
Does anybody know if this works with Zaptel?

The reason I ask is we first installed 12.2 kernel 2.6.27 and it will not allow a zaptel compile.

What were the reasons that Zaptel did not compile on Slackware with 2.6.27? Any error messages?

I think I have similar problem on ubuntu 8.04, "You do not appear to have the sources for the 2.6.24-24-generic kernel installed (under )."

apt-get install linux-image-2.6.24-24-generic returns:
linux-image-2.6.24-24-generic is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

apt-get install -y linux-headers-2.6.24-24-generic helped

Went down to slackware 12.1 with Zaptel 1.2.27 and everything works
