Phone card(s) and phone harware to work with telco line

Hi,

I have successfully installed and tested VCDIALNOW for SIP. Once testing is finished, we tried to find SDSL and VOIP providers. With a hard work of about 2 weeks we conclude we can't get any cheap solution available in UK. We can get good deal on minutes and rental for telco lines but not for SIP. So I don't have any choice except to move on telco solution. I am good in computer hardware and software but not too good in phone cards and phone systems. Now I have to decide phone card(s) and phone system required to work with telco lines. At present I have setup VICIDIALNOW on Dell D380 G4 2x3.6 with 4GB RAM and 6x72GB hard drives. At first stage we want to start with 15-20 seats, afterward wants to update up to 50. I want to know which phone card and phone system I have to purchase to work with ISDN 30 and VICIDIALNOW. Can I do this with ease or have to do a lot?. I really don't want to buy any hardware which is not compatible with VICIDIAL and need update again.

Have you look in to a US based sip termination providers?
We use 3utelecom for outbound and vitelity.net as backup and for inbound calls.
Check them up.

Thanks. Our main problem is SDSL line, for 2MB SDSL line with backup they are asking for £1000 installation and £450+VAT/month and minutes are on the top of it. While with ISDN 30 unlimited landline calls and 7p/min mobile for only £400/month with no setup cost.

We recommend getting E1/T1 telephony cards from Sangoma (http://www.sangoma.com). How many E1/T1 lines are you going to use?

How many agents are you planning to have ? Are they remote or in your location?
You may be best with outsourcing.

Dear Marcin, I have already told in start we are looking for 15-20 which will be 50 in about 6 months time. All will be inhouse no remote.

Get the Sangoma A102D card. It has 2 ports for E1/T1/J1. If you're planning to expand, get the A104D. Checkout their website at http://www.sangoma.com.

Thanks Gardo, I looked into cards and will request to buy one. One more thing should I require any other harware like phone system to plugin my phones? If so, for which should I go for?

One of the most cost-effective solution for startup call centers is to get ATAs (analog telephone adapters) coupled with a handset/headset device. You can check your area and see what brands are available. We usually go with the Linksys PAP-2T.
