Configuration defaults not loaded

Postby lemic » Mon Jun 22, 2009 2:26 pm

Hey guys. I've installed Vicidialnow ver 1.2... after installation strangely the default settings on phones, and conferences are not appearing when i open their individual pages. their setting fields are all blank! and when i try to add new settings those entries are lost upon submitting. can anyone help me pls. im really new to this thing. i already configured the carrier and sip setting and all are good. except for the phone and conferences. when i add a new phone or conference the settings would show but it is really strange that the defaults are not showing up. is there a way that i can reload all the default setting of vicidialnow? or any suggestions..? by the way i can do a direct call using my softphone and using my newly added phone extension in vicidial. tnx in advance guys...

you can try running the installation script again, but you'd probably just find some other hiccups.

Best bet really is to just wipe it clean and install again and hope for a "clean" install this time.

Verify your .iso signature first or download another one (and verify that one!). If this happens again, try Vicibox. A clean install can save several hours chasing down a silly problem that never should have been there.

Watch for any errors shooting past and check your logs after installation. (/var/log ...)

And it IS good practice to put in those settings you've already done again. Documenting the setup is excellent practice for "dead hard drive" and "time to build another one". Seriously.
