Scratch install vs ViciBox

I would like to install ViciBox.
There is any difference concerning the performance between ViciBox and a scratch install of ViciDial?

We have not really measured the performance difference between the two at this point. I would assume that you could have a very small performance gain doing a scratch install on a custom kernel, but it probably wouldn't be that much. The appeal of ViciBox is that it would be easier to install and update because it is mostly based on Ubuntu(Debian) packages instead of installing everything from source.
