Unable to authenticate

I'm getting this message from asterisk cli:

Sep 24 02:03:27 NOTICE[11270]: manager.c:558 authenticate: 127.0.0.1 failed to authenticate as 'listencron'
== Connect attempt from '127.0.0.1' unable to authenticate
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found

What am I lacking in my configs?

make sure you did all the GRANT permissions in the SCRATCH_INSTALL.

did you configure the manager.conf file as defined in the SCRATCH_INSTALL?

Thanks for the help guys. It seems that I put the wrong secret in manager.conf. I double checked it and instead of 1234 I saw 2348. I can't remember putting 2348 there.
