how can i restrict directory

hi to all
how can i restrict directory to all my agent
for exemple:
var/www/html/agc/ -->here i don't want view all sub files in agc/ directory
or
var/www/html/vicidial/ --> some thing i don't want view all sub files in vicidial/ directory

it is possible with the use of .htaccess or with add of some script php .
for note :
in var/www/html/vtigercrm/ this directoy is rectrict by the default installation of vtiger ,so here if we want to see the sub files of /vtigercrm/ we can not just we can see the http://IP/vtigercem/index.php

it all depends on your webserver configuration. where you go to the default page everytime you open a directory.

try googling around on how to properly configure your webserver.

for exemple if i use vicidialnow how can i modifiy it because i have see also vicibox have the same thing in the webserver

easiest thing is to add a blank index.html file to those directories.
