How do you display or show the VMAIL button?

I know that there is an option under phones for a VMAIL Button. Where do I look for the button?

It is probably right under my nose, but where?

only astguiclient.php has a voicemail button to check voicemail, we have not built that into vicidial.php at this point.

suppose that I wanted to take on that project.

What would I need to know so that my contribution would be of value?

What should I look out for in terms of programming or database pitfalls?

just doing a simple voicemail button is easy, but adding the blinking for when there are messages and static when there are not, along with agent state validation make it a bit more difficult to program.
