vicidial_list and vicidial_dnc table

Greetings to All,
I just want to know what is the difference between vicidial_list and vicidial_dnc table . there is also status field in vicidial_list table that have diffrent status NA In or such , is it fine if I only add numbers into vicidial_dnc table for DNC . Looking forward for kind response.

Hi,

if you add numbers to the vicidial_dnc or vicidial_campaign_dnc table, you need to make sure that you activated
"Use Internal DNC List=Y" OR
"Use Campaign DNC List:=Y"
in the campaign settings to prevent these leads to be dialed.

If you set the status of a certain lead to DNC in the vicidial_list table, this particular lead will not be dialed again. But if this number will be imported a second time with the status NEW it would get dialed again whereas an entry in one of the DNC tables would block this number.
