Upgrading Astguiclient 2.0.X

Hi All,

I am brand new to Vici.
My server information are as follows:
Astguiclient ViciDial 2.0.X
Asterisk ver: 1.4.21.2
VERSION: 2.2.0-172
BUILD: 90315-1010

I am having many reporting errors such as agents taking 150 minute lunches and 200 minute breaks and in fact they are not but the system shows them as such.
Can anyone help me?
My research has suggested an upgrade to Astguiclient 2.0.4.1rc2 which has fixes for bugs etc...
Does anyone concur with this? Also, how do I perform the upgrade?

Latest version is 2.0.5. Download the full package as a Zip to your desktop and read the upgrade.txt instructions in it. It shows how to upgrade each step of the way.

The best way to back up is to copy all your data to another computer.

If you want to know the best program to use to do it ... there are too many for anyone to honestly say which one is "best".

Vicidial has a method of backup (have you read the manager's manual? and checked out the various script files in the vicidial distribution? those each have their own directions commented into the files ...).

There are also actual backup systems such as bacula. Other than that, you want to be sure you have all your mysql data (easily exported using mysqldump) and all your settings files (/etc folder mostly, especially /etc/asterisk) so you can reinstall the same way you have your system now in case of infection or catastrophic failure.

You may also (seriously) want to look at something like ghost 4 linux (g4l) which can make an image of the hard drive (or individual partitions) for serious recovery. Searching for backup software available on SourceForge.net is a good place to start.

oh, yeah, just give it to him ... now he won't read the manual at all. LOL

Also, i like g4l because it will give FULL restore capability. It's not suitable for "daily" but it certainly makes a great predecessor to daily backups. One g4l any time you make a change to the OS and then daily data backups ... and you can re-create your entire system with ease (in an hour or two).
