Cant we change 8609 and 8310 to a drop down box with Wav and GSM ?

sure it's just a mod to the html. leave the "values" as they are, but change the displayed option to whatever you want. if it will help you remember which is which.

How about if Matt can add this small change in next release to make interface more easy to handle ?

Like changing numerical value to a drop down ?

Also, in my set up, I have 8309 but I see all recordings as GSM. Any idea why ?

At this point I might just make that value hidden. It is almost always best to record in WAV and the just use the the CRON audio scripts to compress the audio to what you want it to be.

maybe turn it into a per server pref instead of a per campaign. i mean, how many facilities actually want to change their recording during the call to be different per campaign?

on the other hand, one of the nice things about vicidial is that it does work for everyone, because all the controls are there.

you COULD put up a poll to see if anyone wants it to stay. could encourage interaction and perhaps less pure lurking. if there are no votes for it to remain as a preference ... change it. if there are some, make it a dropdown per server or something.

although honestly, i'm not sure it really needs to change at all. i mean ... it works, right? why mess with is. but a drop down would be nice (and it would still work!)

Now that I think about it more we actually do have clients using different recording extensions. They do this so that they can have longer maximum recordings on some campaigns than others, which does make sense. I think that I will just leave it as it is for now.
