Campaign not active, please try again

I copied a campaign and its active. I can select it during agent login, but when I click submit, I get the output "Campaign not active, please try again".

I can log into campaigns initially created, but not for the ones I copy or create new. Please assist. Thanks.

1) Could you post a little more of your installation/configuration information? Specifically: how did you get Vicidial 2.0.4 from a vicidialNOW 1.2 installation? Is that a mistake, or did you do some sort of backup/restore downgrade?

2) have you gone through ... Line By Line ... in Detail Mode ... to compare a "working" and a "non-working" campaign? have you verified that the campaign is also selected the same in all other locations? (user groups and anywhere else that may be slipping my mind)

3) are there leads in the hopper for the new campaign?

Sorry the 2.0.4 is a mistake. It was a VicidialNow 1.1rc3 install with Vicidial 2.0.4.

I had copied the campaign, but I did also check to confirm that all settings are the same as the source campaign.

3) are there leads in the hopper for the new campaign?
Yes, there are leads in the hopper.

The campaign status is Active in the DB and on screen (Its selectable on the agent drop down list box as well. I imagine its a script that may be causing the issue like the upadte script or something.

For some reason the $CAMPactive is 0 in vicidial.php.

Identified the issue and resolved it. THe issue relates to the campaign ID which cannot contain a - in it. There maybe other charaters also so if you face the same issue, change the campaign ID.

Campaign IDs should only be alphanumeric

I do not recommend using ANY special characters (not even spaces) in "ID" or "Name" type fields in any open source software (I even avoid it in Description fields until I have the software working properly ...). LOL

Stick with 8 characters text only no spaces until you KNOW what you are doing (or unless it requires NUMBERS, obviously).

Makes life easier. Of course, I can't even guess how many times I scratched my head for (undisclosed time period) and then realized that the software would let me put in funky characters, but could not parse the data given ... and then remembered "open source", field data entry validation is NOT a high priority! duh.
