Caqmpaign recordings

Postby gonzalezgjaime » Thu Oct 29, 2009 7:08 pm

Hi, i have a vicibox setup, but when i go to user -> username -> userstats, looking for the recording i see the name but not the link, in vicidialnow i was able to click the name and the recording would play on the browser or on media player.

Any ideas on why this could be happening in vicibox?

Thanks in advanced for your help.

the mixing of the recordings (to make them available for playing) is not automatically enabled. It hammers the server and some people prefer to do it on a special schedule. You need to go into your crontab (and/or read the manual on this topic) to determine how / when you want your recordings mixed and made available.

This is a minor difference between the management styles of The Vicidial Group and the guy that created VicidialNOW, the software is identical, but the configuration for VicidialNOW makes some assumptions whereas the configuration for ViciBox makes OTHER assumptions.

Are there any problems in scheduling the mixing of the days recordings at night? For example, are the files removed by the mixing-script or is another script handling this? Is it possible to just edit the crontab so that the AST_CRON_audio_1_move_mix.pl and
AST_CRON_audio_2_compress.pl --MP3
Only runs when no agents are on the server? Or will this mess with the recordings?

Are you recording to a RAM drive or a hard drive?

We are recording directly to hard drive. I guess this means that the recordings won't get overwritten, as opposed to a RAM-drive?

If recording to hard drive then yes you are fine to only run the audio processing scripts at night.
