unable to add scripts in vicidialnow

Postby gzpxyj » Mon Nov 30, 2009 4:55 pm

I have added one script before and now I cannot add more scripts anymore. Even though I deleted the script, I cannot add new script. I can add script simple sentence. But if I add a little long script, it just don't show up. Anytime I add a script, it will say the script added. But there is nothing to show and no dropdown list can show I have added the list.
Any suggestions? I am running vicidialnow 1.2.

Anyone knows where should I start to debug the problem?
Where the script is saved? why it reported the script added but not show up under show script or under script selection for the campaign? I really would like to get this issue resolved.

What are contents of the script? Any funny characters in it?
Have you looked at the database to find which table holds the scripts? It can be spotted right away, by its name...

Please excuse me, I have no idea where to look for. From where can I look at the database? There is no funny characters in the script except "____" underscore. Where is the database and how can I view it?

Not being funny or rude, but if you don't know where the database is and how to look at it you should not be playing with that, as you can very easily screw up the system to unrepairable state.

I'd wait for input from somebody else, there could be limit or something.
Our script for example is 29 lines, including empty ones.

Have you searched the forum? I recall seeing similar topics.

Any updates? I have not seen anybody gives any advice how I can solve the script issues. At present time, I need to remove anything messed up with the scripts database.

Simple exercise first: Try to create a script with very little information in it. Give it a nice name like "SampleScript" with no spaces, same for description, and same in the script itself. Just put "SampleScript" into the script itself.

After you submit, pay close attention to the results of the submission, it will be just below the menu bar on the next screen and may be just a single line of text stating success or failure.

If that works, your problem was in the script you were trying to create. If not, get back and we'll try the next level.
