Max lead recycle attempts

Postby hobsonace » Wed Dec 16, 2009 2:21 pm

I am trying to find a way of increasing the maximum dial attempts for the lead recycle rules. At the moment I can only go to 10, I need more like 99!
Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated please.
Thanks.

You would need to edit the database schema and the source code of several different files to do that.

Any reason you don't just reset your list?

Don't laugh but I don't know how to resent the list? I normally just download it, remove all the DNC etc and then reload it. Is there a better way. I would love to know if there is. Many thnaks again for your help and very swift responce!

Just go to the list modification page, set the "Reset Lead-Called-Status for this list" pulldown to Y, then click submit.

After you do that, all of the leads are dialable again, but you will only dial the leads that have dialable statuses in their campaign.

Have you read the ViciDial Manager Manual?

I do have the manual which I've made occasional reference to, however, I have never found what I've been looking for in it!

I am still unsure where I can find how to set the Statuses for defining what is re-dial able?

Any pointers on the max number of attempts in the Lead Recycling rules please?

Many thanks indeed.

In the campaign screen is where you add dial statuses.

These are the statuses of leads that will be dialed.

You need to reset the list every time you dial through it.

After resetting the list, all of the dial statused leads become dialable

You can do that as many times as you want

Lead Recycling allows you to dial leads of a specific status up to 10 times BEFORE having to reset the list again.

Many thanks - I've set the statuses now and can re-set the list at will - fantastic.
I only just realised you're the author of said manual!
Thanks again

Recycling leads

When I reset the lead list all the dial statuses are reset to "not called" even the ones that i have not added "dial status"ie it resets all the laeds in the list to dial again.

Do you know how I can solve this problem?

1) when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and OS with kernel or version, vicidial version and build, asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box.

Similar to This:
Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X Build XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

2) This is not a problem, per se. It's the normal way the system works.

Since those "dispositions" are not going to be dialed anyway, their "called vs not called" status does not matter.

BUT: If you decide to call one of them a few minutes later, and they were NOT reset with the rest, you'd have to reset again to allow the freshly allowed disposition. Which would be disruptive to the calls already in progress if you've only worked partially through the list.

So: Since they are all reset at the same time, regardless of disposition, when you decide to change "allowed" vs "not allowed", those new dispositions become available to dial immediately (but remain dormant until needed).
____

Can you explain why this is a problem for you? (along with posting your system information?) More than happy to help :)

but I don't understand completly, If I have finished list with dialable's statuses and e.g from that finished list I want to dial again only leads which had DROP status, when I reset list and set in campaign Dial status to DROP only ,how can dialer to know which leads have DROP status because, before that I was reset list ?? I hope that you understand me what I want to say!?

You don't reset a list first and then only enter the DROP status. You FIRST go to your campaign detail view page. There you enter dial statuses. That will include your DROP status. THEN ONLY do you go to your list page and reset your list.
