Feature request: send administrative alert to agents

Postby okli » Tue Mar 17, 2009 7:49 am

This would be very useful feature when agents are in a remote location and the supervisor/manager needs to send a note or alert to all agents, or to a specific one.

1. While barging to an agent we could lead the conversation, without interrupting it, very useful for training for example.
2. The supervisor/tech. guy notices something wrong with the dialer- send an alert to all agents to log out.

Would that require a lot of changes?

What about integration of some simple php/ajax web based chat into the agent's screen or even in a separate tab?

Has anyone thought in this direction? All ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated :)

Yes, we have thought about this for some time actually, just haven't had the sponsorship to spend the time developing it.

It is on the roadmap for 2.2.0 (current SVN trunk) so hopefully we can get to it in the next few months.

No update, it probably won't make it into 2.2.0 because we have not received enough sponsorship interest to start development on it.

The company that I work for wants this badly too. When I have my boxes up and running, I can go and work on it (it's on my prio list, pretty high). If you have some specs on how you think this could be best implemented to be of use to the Vicidial project, I can take that in account.

never mind, found it here: http://www.vicidial.org/VICIDIALforum/v ... php?t=8754
VERSION: 2.4-295 / BUILD: 101008-0356 (customized)
Asterisk 1.4.21.2/Zaptel 1.4.12.9.svn.r4653
Scratch install http://www.zoap.nl/stuff/viciscratch.txt
T1 lines with Astribank Hardware
Multi-server installs

Vicidial rulez!

i have add this one https://blueimp.net/ajax/ here in vicidial.php
with ading a script java that pop up the page of chat when we clik in the button right then i have merge the two database with vicidial-users so to enter chat agent need just enter this vicidial detail and he will be in chat room.
i have think to add it directly in interface agent but the screen of chat is so big unless we can use java dhtmlxTabbar to switch in the interface agent ,i'am now stilling do it
